Installation
The installation of any grass requires planning, especially seashore paspalum. The presence of existing turf is an important part of the planting process. Bermudagrass, grassy weeds and other warm season grasses must be eradicated prior to planting. There is no known way to remove bermudagrass contamination in established paspalum, so it very important that you clean up the site and use clean stock for planting. |

Grow-ins
| The grow-in process actually begins before the grass is planted. It takes preparation of a clean site to allow for planting. Once the site is clean then the grass can be planted.
The grassing process must include a pre-emergent herbicide to keep the grow-in as clean as possible. It is very important to keep common bermudagrass seed and grassy weed seeds from germinating. Fertilization, insect control, verticutting, topdressing and

My experiences with different grow-ins give me the ability to grow-in the grass as quickly as possible. The time given for establishment is very critical to the overall condition because you only get that chance once. The grass needs to develop the proper amount of thatch before golfers and especially golf carts are allowed on it. The grow-in is a very critical part of the process because it is what provides the playing surfaces. Golf is about the playing surfaces.

The source of the water determines if filtration is necessary and there are many types of filtration depending on a proper water analysis. Seawater can be treated with reverse osmosis and sediment and algae can be treated with a turbitity filter. |
